James Dixon has been selected as the new principal of Concord International.

Dear Concord Community,

I am pleased to announce that James Dixon has been selected as the new principal of Concord International.

Mr. Dixon was selected through a robust interview process that included input from Concord staff, families, and district leadership. He brings a strong record of building thriving school communities, along with a deeply reflective leadership style grounded in trust, continuous learning, and collaborative growth.

Most recently, Mr. Dixon served as the Assistant Principal at Lowell Elementary. Previously, he served as a consulting teacher, special education teacher, and instructional assistant in Seattle Public Schools. These experiences have shaped his vision as an educational leader dedicated to fostering supportive, high-achieving environments where both staff and students can thrive.

Mr. Dixon earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Washington and his principal certification from Texas A&M International University.

He is looking forward to working with Concord students, staff, families, and community members to make a difference for each student, every day. His official start date is today, Aug. 21. He is excited to begin this important work with the Concord community.
